2008
Holiday Party - February 2, 2008
Place: Day-Didier Farms
Our Holiday Party is held in February. After
training until mid-afternoon, we meet at a nearby restaurant for the
party. In addition to a meal provided by the club, the meeting
includes a discussion of past and upcoming events. We also
recognize our members' accomplishments in the prior year and award
the annual club trophies.
Annual Club Trophies - our club
trophies and requirements are as follows:
-
Greenwing Highpoint Derby Dog – awarded to the ARC
member whose dog accumulated the most points in licensed derbies
in the prior year.
-
Rowdy’s Rocket Master Hunter Award – presented to
the ARC member whose dog accumulated the most master
qualifying scores in the prior year. This award is presented in
memory of a wonderful dog owned by Carolyn & Brian McCreesh.
-
John Minchew Memorial trophy – in memory of
our friend and member John Minchew, who trained and campaigned his
own dogs. This award is given to the ARC member whose dog earned
the highest number of amateur points in the prior year,
accumulated in trials held in the former Southeastern
Retriever Council.
-
Starrsville Trophy - awarded to the member whose dog
earned the highest all-age point total in the prior year. This
includes open and amateur points accumulated in US field trials,
and includes points earned with a professional handler.
